AQUA DC Committees
AQUA DC’s committees are the engine of our work. Volunteer committee members drive our programs, advocacy, events, and operations. All committees are open to AQUA DC members.
Advocacy Committee
Leads AQUA DC’s legislative advocacy work, including Lobby Day planning, bill tracking, and coalition coordination.
- Plan and execute annual Lobby Day
- Track federal and D.C. legislation
- Develop advocacy communications
- Represent AQUA DC in coalitions
Programs Committee
Oversees AQUA DC’s community programs including the QAPI Support Group, QTAAPI Book Club, and Social & Wellness events.
- QAPI Support Group facilitation

API Pride Committee
Plans and executes the annual API Pride march and community festival — our flagship event each June.
- Coordinate with Capital Pride Alliance
- Manage march contingent logistics
- Plan post-march festival
- Recruit volunteers and sponsors
Communications Committee
Manages AQUA DC’s social media, newsletter, website, and public communications.
- Social media management
- Monthly newsletter production

Development Committee
Supports fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations to sustain AQUA DC’s operations and programs.
